Last week we had the privilege of traveling with about 300 youth to Plamyra, NY. The kids were wonderful even while on the long bus ride.
We ran into a bit of trouble at the motel with the room assignments but all was quickly in check. The elevators were old and slow like a crippled grandparent so most of the group took the stairs. Room accomodations were great. If I could have, I would have been tempted to bring the comforter home with me. It was a nice heavy comforter that felt and looked good.
The highlight of the trip for me was the Hill Cumorah pageant. http://www.lds.org/placestovisit/location/0,10634,1831-1-1-1,00.html
We had dinner on the grounds and enjoyed plenty of time to meet the cast members. The production was great. If you are in the area during the time of the performances I would encourage you to take the time to see it.
It was a quick and busy trip. We really could have spent another day or two in the area touring. I am grateful for the opportunity to go with the youth.
